"I had to go on a business trip and work with an older lady who was just about ready to retire. I manage tradeshows and travel around North America to convention centers and hotels organizing events. She had an old-school way of checking inventory by hand. I’m pretty good with excel and salesforce, so I had a faster way of doing it.
I got the job done like I’ve been doing for years and left so I could go enjoy Vancouver. We’ve all heard the saying “Work Smarter, not harder”. She couldn’t get it through her head that the workday was done for me. I found out from another colleague that she called me a lazy entitled millennial with no work ethic.
I busted my @$$ and paid my way through college. I worked long hours and kissed @$$ to get to the position I’m in. I know plenty of other young professionals that have done the same. This idea from baby boomers that we’re entitled or lazy gets tiresome."

The last straw was getting me fired when they had a "drunk fight" as I left my career job to "keep him from killing her", they were both passed out by the time I got to their home in the 20 minutes it took to drive the distance.
They put me 100K in debt. After Mom passed, the FIL still won't give me details of her passing, no momento's, ashes from cremation, pictures for her grandkids- nothing. A complete horror story here. F@#k you, Roger Rodriguez (FIL), Hawaiian acres,(5th and "c" rd) Puna, Hawaii.
Because it sure seems like you missed the bus or were thrown under it at some point in your life.
Been bankrupt twice, pulled myself up from tragedy. I bust my @$$ everyday.
This is not a conservative thing or a liberal thing, nor a generation thing.
Every generation has a patch of stupid people, no one generation is better than the other.
At my workplace (over 100 ppl) is clearly visible what is about.
Millenials do not say even HI in the mornings - they prefer to pass you by looking in a different direction. On every break, they spent all their time alone with the phones while the older generations gather in small groups and talks and have fun together.
For me is a bit strange that they do not even socialize with the same age group?
Another story from New Year night: 2 generations - we over 40 - play, drunk, dance and party like there is no tommorow - and millenials room - everyone laying on the couch with phones wtf
