Created by “Aptera Motors”, it will cost $25,900 and will be able to go 0-100 kph in just 3.5 seconds. Its maximum speed will be around 180 kph and its accumulator will have a capacity to go 1600 km, compared to 500 of “Tesla” Model S. Their first 330 models were sold out during the first 24 hours, and “Aptera” already has thousands of pre-orders.

well, it's not the "first" solar powered car (the world solar challenge runs in Australia for more than 15 year).
Maybe, it's one of the first SERIAL solar powered cars.
And I couldn't stop laughing: The price is in US$ but the author wrote about the speed in kph. US and their struggle with metric units:
180 kph = 180 knots per hour (used in maritime cicumdations)
= 333,36 km/h (Kilometres per hour)
Really ??

These guys are a con job. They took thousands of dollars years ago to produce a high MPG car, the same car!!! Then they went bankrupt without returning any money. Now they're back with a new scam.

I would love to see what's left after a head on or t-bone accident. Maybe they sell it with an option to use it as a casket as well after you are crushed to death inside it from being hit by a shopping cart in the mall parking lot.....
