#1 I wouldn't trade my surfing days for anything. Yeah, it took a toll, but man what rides! And the battles! Muay Thai and Eskrima. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

#14 It’s not too late in your thirties, unless you didn’t take care of anything, i.e., bad diet, drugs, no exercise and smoking (all 4).

Yes, regular exercise and healthy eating work a treat when aging. I always joke with my friend (who turned 40) that we are only able to drink beer nowadays (jack & coke are a thing of the past). Switching off the TV & Netflix also helps.

This will sound obvious, but it wasn’t to me. When a joint hurts, listen to it. If you’re at the gym or something, don’t ‘push through’ the pain. Don’t run on a sore ankle — that kind of stuff. If you have access to it, go to a physiotherapist for any joint pain, even if it’s minor.
