I pretty much never listen to the actual lyrics. It's just accompanying sounds to the music. I'm not motivated to analyze and decrypt what's being sung because, most of the time, they make no sense anyway.

Wrong. Baha Men version was a cover. The original Jamaican guy who wrote it said the "dogs" were referring to men.
