#17 I both agree and disagree. I miss the times before cellphones and SMS when you'd just stop by if you were in the neighbourhood, and if they were busy you'd just go on somewhere else. No expectations of tidy homes or anything to eat and drink, although everyone would have something available like biscuits and coffee or lemonade. We'd be happy for the company and nobody was expecting anything fancy.

For kids it should still be OK to just stop by a friends house!

These days it's easy to send a text to ask if they are home and wants a visit, but it also makes it easy to "postpone", making us less social.

#6 The person in the middle seat gets no armrests, and the window and aisle passengers each get both.

“Don’t ask someone if they’re pregnant. And, if someone mentions they are pregnant, don’t comment on their size.”

instead, just ask "whens the baby due?"

“Don’t comment on other people’s food. I don’t care if you think oysters look like boogers. They’re yummy and I want to enjoy them in peace.”
