It's not so much "a different opinion" as completely deplorable behaviour though in most of those cases. Isn't it?
You act like it's just about having a different taste in what colour your car should be or what music you like.
But in reality most of the people in question were screaming homophobic things. Or advocating slavery was ok or something like that.
And can you REALLY blame a company for firing an employee that went viral with a video where he went on a drunk rant how qanon was real and the jews were supposedly secretly controlling the world?
Doesn't sound like a person with the intelligence to do any job right and not exactly good advertising to have someone like that working for you even if the boss would agree with it.
And most rational people would not agree with it.
