“Saying this as a Canadian I’ve always found Americans to genuinely be so friendly. Depends on the place but in some places I’ve found the people to be friendlier than those back home in Canada. Phoenix, San Diego, Las Vegas and the entire state of Hawaii were places I found to have really friendly people. Some places weren’t this way but I won’t list them.”

cars originated in the U.s, but different countries still have different brands.
Actually is was Daimler and Benz, Mercedes is a product name.
The truth is that there were breakthroughs all over the world around the same time. Benz was the first to patent a combustion engine design and Ford was the first to mass produce a factory built car - both very big differences from inventing the car. There were many different automobiles in use all over the world, including electric and steam powered, long before Benz and Ford, all of which laid the foundation for modern cars. As early as the 17th century, China was using steam powered automobiles for personal transportation on roadways regularly - like in the 1600s. That’s pretty incredible. So there were important contributions from all over the world that eventually led to modern cars.
You probably think frankfurters originated in Frankfurt, too!
