Titan AE - don’t understand why people didn’t like it.

Also, Jupiter Ascending could have been great with more attention to plot and dialogue (another Wachowski’s film). And maybe with a more imposing villain. The visuals are pretty great, though, minus the obvious rave-culture insertions that seem cliche.

#8 John Carter failed because it was marketed as a sci-fi/action summer movie. It actually feels like a 60's-style epic, like the classic Ben-Hur.

Zeely,

The director did not know what he was doing. It was his first live action film, and he needed to film key action sequences first so the special effects could be completed so that promotions would have a trailer six months before release.

#20 I saw it in the theaters, and liked it, but it wasn't what I was expecting. It is a farce along the lines of Our Man Flint (1966) (and even has James Coburn and that musical tone), but it was sold as an action/adventure film like Die Hard.

Howard the Duck. Because Tim Robbins, Leah Thompson doing all her own vocals in the Cherry Bomb songs, John Barry soundtrack (parts relater used in Dances with Wolves) and it was hilarious and stupid in all the right ways.
