#27 I've seen this question posed a number of times. I'm not American, but were these idiots ever taught that "gas" is the abbreviated form of "gasoline"???
Here in Texas and other border states we have a cactus named prickly pear. the fruit of this cactus is called a tuna...don't know why. Because of this we may say tunafish as opposed to just tuna.
Those offended by these questions are fragile snowflakes. Americans do a lot of incomprehensible things (as do people from other countries). Get over yourselves. (from an American)
I'm not american, but most of these questions are dumb. What a bunch of idiots.
#1 Math is an abbreviation. As Mathematics starts with math, so, math. #11 Block is the distance from a corner to the next corner, they're used as a distance reference. It does not have to be that hard. Poor thing.
#27 Gas... as short for Gasoline, while others use Petrol... since the fuel contains benzene, it's named benzine, benzina, bensin and so on or nafta from naphta.
Seems like a lot of the questions come from people speaking other languages, and not remembering all the dumb stuff people say in their own language, and not figuring out there are proverbs that don't really translate directly.

But I do agree with 19. anyone who uses the f bomb, or any euphemism of it, all the time, denote a lack of intelligence and vocabulary.
That's smegging nonsense, you smeghead.
Because we don't give a f@#k, that's why.
I agree with #26
The other one I notice is horseback riding instead of horse riding. What other part of the horse would you be riding?
This posts are the most ignorant things Izismile posts.
Good explanation. Thanks. I did not know. I am probably an idiot, then.
Also this is the only real good comment on this page.
