#17 those look impossible to skate in, the fact that skates need to be tied snug enough around the ankle to keep the blade perpendicular to ankle to prevent the ankle from bending over and possibly braking

#1 So the modern version should be a picture of sunglasses not correction lenses.
Soap saver cage
Small scraps of soap were put in the cage and shook under hot running water when people did dishes by hand. The soap saver was swished through the dishwater to made suds. Great for washing the dishes, hand washing delicates, or even bubble baths.
