Aleva, From what I understand, the heating pads on induction stoves are not hot to the touch when turned on. They only heat up the special pots made specifically for induction stoves that have imbedded wiring at their bottoms. You can't use induction pots on regular stoves and you can't normal pots on induction stoves.
This might be an induction stove but this design is found commonly on normal stoves too. All the stoves I've used in my life have been of this design unless they were gas stoves.
