#8 Not willing train your replacement creates job security. She likely knew as soon as someone else can do her job she would be fired. Rather douchey for tricking her to write the manual so they can then fire her once it is done.

It would have been better story if she needed to retire for health but had a hard time training someone else in person, so she kept working. With a training manual she could finally retire.
