If you're having a heated discussion and want to hang up on some one, do so while you're talking. Hanging up while they are talking will make them really mad (which may be your intention), but hanging up while you're talking doesbn't seem rude to them.

Number 6 about assigning someone specific to call 911 isn't just a tip. The Red Cross actually teaches this now. (First heard it when I got First Aid/CPR certified 4 years ago.

another good one when some is feeling down instead of offering them help ask them to help you. it will make them feel needed and useful and make them think of something different.
