Waterloo is a small city in Belgium (guess everybody knows about Napoleon) about 20 km (15 miles) from Brussels. However, it's 'the battle of Waterloo because Wellington couldn't pronounce the place of 'Eigenbrakel' (Flemisih) which later becam Braine l'Alleud' (Frenc(ed)). Never there has, at least in that time, been a battle in Waterloo.
Clarence, Waterloo is a train station in London (this is how I understand the context here). Yes, you can catch a train to Bruge, Brussels, Ghent or even Eigenbrakel if you so chose. Takes about 4 hours.
