Paid leave per year in my job (an Australian bank): 20 days Annual Leave 12 Rostered Day Off 3 days Life Leave - can be taken for any reason 15 days sick/carer's leave 6.5 days Long Service Leave after 10 years employment
I work for a major food producer in the U.S. (they have been in the news recently for one location betting on if employees would get sick with COVID). They give zero paid vacation time off to new employees for the first year. You can still take a day or two off, but only if your supervisor approves if it. After that, the time off isn’t in ‘days’, but in ‘hours’. You have to manage your life, your illnesses, your families illness and needs down to the hour.
People think all USA companies are the same. I have 20 days pto and can carry over previous years days not used. Unlimited sick days. These f@#king idiots complaining work at McDonalds or have been with their company for 2 months. Time to grow up.
