Manoah, It may or may not be, depending on where it is. Where I live you're not allowed to store more than 20l of fuel in a private home. And transporting that tank would require some special hazard markings.

When I was younger, I lived/worked on a cattle ranch and we had a neighbor that would load up gas/diesel like this for our tractors/equipment. He would fill up every month or so and would allow us to top off our rigs. It was a 20min drive to the nearest gas station in a car. Imagine having a tractor low on petrol...
