There is a book called 'Wolf Totem' by Jiang Rong. It describes the life of a student in outer Mongolia who happens to get hold of a wolf cub. It is a fascinating book and I can really recommend it. After reading that book I would not say raising a Wolf is as easy as raising a dog. It still is a wild animal that does not belong into the human world.
