Why would they change the toilet paper roll in between guests?

#11 I don't work in the business, but even I know taht the "pretty fold" is to know whether the toilet roll has been used, and if so the toilet has been used as well. If your roll isn't folded pretty the bathroom probably hasn't been cleaned after it was used. The fold guarantees nothing, though.
"We are legally not allowed to say your room number out loud, which is why we will usually write it on an envelope, pass it to you and tell you "this is your room number"."
