Cling wrap and foil boxes have push tabs on the sides to prevent the roll from falling out.

#1 chedar prevents nothing. if moth's woyld be afraid of chedar they would have died out a long time ago.
#2 not sure it would work. cars have safety glasses which prevent shattering. you can buy special purpose hammers though.
