#12: Jarts (lawn darts) taught you to pay the F@#K attention to the game. NO distractions or you'll catch a Jart the HARD way. Awesome!!! sarcastic

The tone seems to intimate that having fewer safety measures did not have a negative effect on lives. #2 for example. I knew a guy who had an accident while driving a pickup with kids in the back. Bad time.

Denise,
Having an accident in the first place is a bad time. I'm not saying drive around with your kids in the back of a truck, but back then you lived by making mistakes and learning to not do it again. Neither my or my friends parents even knew where we were after school. It didn't matter, as long as we were home by dinner. Of course then we went right back out again until the street lights came on. I wouldn't trade that for all the technology in the world. I am SO glad I grew up then and not now.

In my neighborhood we played dodgebrick using red bricks we found on the sidewalk or in the alley.

Mima,You guys got bricks? We had to use 5000 pound wrecking balls. And if we lost, we were jettisoned into space.
