Same, but it was around when the NES came out (early-mid 80's). My parents couldn't affor an NES so I got a hand me down Atari when my rich step grandparents got their grandkids an NES. They even wrapped it in the NES box.
I also had a pager in high school before cell phones

Watching Saturday morning cartoons on the floor with cereal that was sugary as hell. We were on the floor because our TV was a piece of furniture.

Eastern Germany. I was friends with sowjet army soldiers who were stationed near the town I lived in when I was a child. Good blokes them and wonderful singing voices.
