WD-40 works great at removing tree sap from your car's finish.

Prue, Optimist. By the time you get the pillowcase put on the hot pillow, it too is hot.

Ken,

My hands always feels a bit sticky with solid soap.....

So I would prefer liquid, and just awoid giving it three pumps.....

Theodora, depending on the rest of the people using it a bar of soap can look pretty gross after a while. I add a small zip-tie to the pump; it halves the dose. In cases when I need more I can just push it again.

#10 Am I missing something here? The colander would still need to be cleaned either way. So how is this saving you from cleaning dishes?

#10 Clean the colander and the pot... or clean the pot and the colander. Same-same and holding the colander on the pot while pouring off the water is not easy.

#13 ... and the pillowcases will stay cool until half way to getting them on the pillow. Tried just to be sure. Warmed up on the walk to the bedroom.

Remove wax stuck on surfaces by freezing it with an ice cube to harden the surface and make it easy to unstick.
