Trannie; Blame the gold mongering rich people. They are only fascinated because they saw gold. And of course poor people wanna emulate the rich. I don't know why.

Actually that would be the Hagia Sophia, one of the oldest churches in existence that was later made into a Mosque. They have taken beautiful care of the ancient site and it is a very beautifully decorated building inside and out. Obviously the prayer towers were added after the fact.

#19 - Yeah, all well and good for star gazing, but down here at street level, where we all live, the light is harsh and the shadows dark as pitch. Seriously, if you get a chance to NOT have them, don't.

#22 - Seriously ? You have to tell people where Sudan is ? Schools just not doing their job, huh ? I went to school in New Zealand (a country in the south Pacific !!!) and we were taught where EVERY country is situated, how to work out our taxes, how to set the valves in our cars (things that let the air/petrol mix into and out of the engine) .... I was even taught how to knit ! something I have had no use for in my adult life, lol.
