#2 That is an actual scar Harrison Ford has and was brought into the movies by River Phoenix in the flashback. So a scene created after real life wound rather than movie continuity. But yes, cool attention to detail by Steven.

#7 So, so wrong. In the beginning of the movie there's a whole scene where a woman from the Hill Valley Preservation Society ambushes Marty with a flyer asking for donations to replace the clock tower that had been "destroyed 30 years ago when it was struck by lightning." This was right after we see a campaign to re-elect Mayor Goldie Wilson and many other foreshadowing events.

lightning hit the clock tower but damage to the ledge was made by Doc "later".
"Marty remembers the flyer the woman gave him and Jennifer about the lightning bolt that is going to strike the clock tower at exactly 10:04 PM next Saturday night and hands it to Doc.
Now that he knows a date and time, Doc begins working on a plan to harness the power of the bolt and send Marty home"
