depends if it's cooked or raw. raw is ok but not cooked, cooked bones can splinter and cause bad problems. but if its raw but a big piece of bone and the dog swallowed it if he gets it down all the way it probably won't be a problem his stomach acid is very powerful and made to dissolve meat and bone. bigger things to watch for is grapes and certain peanut butter, seems like it's mostly the diet peanut butter (the chemical to watch for is Xylitol) both will kill a dog fast.

No it's not, chicken bones will continue through the dogs digestive tract and possibly cut and tear the stomach and intestines. We had to take our dog into the vet to remove a chicken bone protruding from her @$$. Because bones don't digest they shouldn't be given to dogs as the bones break up into sharp shards that cut as mentioned in the first sentence.
