#22 is totally wrong. It's not a "Broiler". It was originally there to keep food warm. over the years it has become a place to store pans and lids. The newer stoves have no heat lose to keep the drawer warm. In fact the new stove we just bought the drawer is so small it is hard to store lids in it.

Electric ranges have a warmer drawer that most folks use for storage. Gas ranges, like the one shown in #22, it is a BROILER, it uses the main burner above the food you are BROILING.
