#13 is not a mud dauber nest. Those are made of mud (obviously) and not soft and fuzzy. No idea what these are but best guess is an insect casing similar to a cocoon.
"5 inch(ish) long metal flat spoon type thing? Spikes on one side. Back says ‘stainless japan’"
