Most of these absurd costs seem so typical american. E.g. the medics, epi pens or the mouth guards sm_80

#12 You can buy a hockey mouthguard for around $5. My dentist tries to sell me their mouthguard every time I’m there for around $400.

agreed. i had a dentist tell me it depends on how much you grind. the over the counter ones will cost less over the long run...yet they cant still find the cause of bruxism

That's BS ...I know someone who works for one of the big companies and he tells me they spend more on advertising than development research.The reps make big big money selling and are treated to elaborate incentives.

Amen. Even more infuriating is when the printer decides the cartridge needs changed even though the print outs haven’t even begun to fade.
