I don’t get all the gripes about tipping. If restaurants paid a “decent wage”, the food would just cost 15-20% more. It would cost the customer the same in the end.
I like that the japanese think more as a society - on the other hand, the working world is scary: job before family - without a sidewife you are not successful and so on...
