Tim, I've never seen ads on youtube ever. I run a few adblocking anti tracking software programs, but not all devices or platforms support that kind of thing. The few times I've gone online using my kindle say, you get nonstop ads using their built in Silk browser and there is no workaround for it. A lot of people come online on mobile only these days. It could be similar.
