There is, it is called Exit-row seats, those have like 30cm extra legroom, some restrictions and/or about 10€ extra but well worth not having to sit for hours with knees hanging painfully from the plastic ridge of the seat in front.
Some airlines/ticket price ranges will just give you those seats if you ask for them/book them ahead of time.

True, but everybody wants them. I'm 6'5" and the only time I was able to get exit row was when the plane was mostly empty.
