When I was a kid we had a black cat on our farm. He was an outdoor cat - he didn't want to be inside - he preferred to roam around our barns and our neighbors barns. He was such a sweet heart to us humans but both of his ears were cut in half from fighting with other cats. Loved that cat.
Black panthers (which are actually somehow jaguars or leopards) have spots that aren’t easily seen because of their cells’ production of melanin, which you can sometimes see if the sun hits them at the right angle.
