I don't see anywhere where it states you can't reach the bottom using CTRL and the down arrow, it's point is if you simply use the down key it will take you over 9 hours to reach the bottom. Therefor, it isn't "stupidly wrong."

Gabriel, no, the YouTuber wanted to see how many rows there were and assumed he had to hold down the arrow key when he could have used a command to get to the bottom immediately. That's the definition of stupidly wrong.

#1 is untrue - the clew is corner of a sail (or hammock). When you "haven't got a clew", it means you can't find this part of the sail and therefore, you can't tie it up - so you can't sail. Hence the saying
