Onicyphorous, It does sound that way. But with the war all but over Stalin went on a serious land grab. Maybe that figured in to his thinking. ?

Onicyphorous, Patton wanted to do the same thing near the end of WW2, he figured "well we're her now with all this stuff anyways, why dont we just rearm the Germans and head east to Moscow"

#17 "Florist" should stick to what he knows, instead of making "maps". That is getting drunk and exploiting his wife(s).

#21 would have been wise, to free eastern Europe, but was impossible to do at the time.

Parthenia,

My guess is these areas of Australia have the same relative climate as the named places overlaid, maybe?

#5 the picture for Type B is not Type B, it is Type C. the hump part is the power lines.

#16 what a load of sh#t. The music industry has recorded record profits this entire century. the idea they were collapsing is pure cr#p.

Malinda,
Apparently you don't know how to do research before speaking. Maybe if you did you'd see for yourself that the chart is accurate. Of course, you probably wouldn't believe it anyway.

Malinda, The music just likes to blame downloads. In reality, any dip was the result of the music industry force feeding garbage like rap, hiphop and other junk MOST people did not want!!!

#21 Should have used our pacific fleet and pushed from the east into Russia threatening a nuclear strike on St. Petersburg. The world for the first time knew the US was both armed and willing to use them. It could've prevented the cold war entirely, but some new horribleness would have most likely developed as the result.
