There’s a woman that works in my gym. She goes around cleaning. I’ve watched her and she never stops except maybe for a few minutes here and there to talk to some gym members she knows. If I had the opportunity to hire her I would. She’s got a great work ethic from what I can tell. I’ve worked at my fortune 50 employer since 1996 and most jobs there can be learned with on-the-job training.
They want to see HOW you react. Large part of a job interview is seeing if you're not a total asocial gimboid. Like someone talking down to them, lying about how they a very, very big man engineer, and implying they don't know how to interview people is a clear indicator you're a bit of a smeghead.
Gert,Not all jobs, including many jobs requiring significant technical skill, depend on your ability to have clever responses to questions posed by some sociology major who is stuck in HR.
Clum, Never said it did. But the whole function of having a job interview is to see your responses to the questions whether you judge them all to be by sociology majors (which apparently is bad in your opinion) who are all stuck (for some reason) or not. If you are trying to be an @$$hole to your interviewer you'll never get the job no matter what your education and previous background is and no matter how much better or more important you consider yourself to be.
My first job interview on engineering position in The Netherlands that I wanted to move on: -So why did you choose Holland to live in? -Oww, Legal drugs and b*tches, what do you want more from living? The boss and secretary laugh and I've been employed. Took them 1 year to figure it out - I was not f joking :D

And Ms. HR-Lady: I am an engineer. You have not the faintest idea if I am good at my job.
