Actually, the Livestock Guardian breeds should be mentioned. These dogs are incredibly smart and almost completely un-trainable. They should never be pets! The wonderful dogs are meant to ferociously protect livestock. If used for in a home they will protect the children, even against the parents. And, unfortunately, the parents will blame the dog. The ultra loyal dog.

I'm sorry that Siberian Huskies didn't make the list. Mine thinks better than some people I know, and seems to be quite capable of reasoning out problems. She's also a practical joker, and she fits her humor to the person she's pranking.

Himalayan Sheepdog

The Himalayan Sheepdog, also sometimes called Himalayan Mastiff, is primarily used as a livestock and property guardian, also assisting in herding and hunting. This large breed dog makes a great companion, being very affectionate and loyal. But, because the Himalayan Sheepdog is a very active breed, they aren't suitable to live in an apartment - these dogs need daily fulfillment of their strong wanderlust. In addition, Himalayan Sheepdogs take their role as family protectors very seriously; thus, they can become quite ferocious without proper training.
