#17 - nah, I don’t believe it. It’s far more complicated than that. My wife and I have very different interests and we love each other very much after 20 years.

Ebenezer, it's not about having *the same* interests, but being able to acknowledge and encourage the other persons interests even though you're not particularly interested in the subject yourself. I do agree that it is good to have some differences and do things without your partner as well.

but seriously, agreed. Generalizations (population level statistics) are exactly that, general and not specific.

#8 reverse osmosis systems were originally developed for military submarines so adding them to other military vessels shouldn't be a big surprise. saves a lot of weight, space and fuel if you don't have to lug around all the water you need for 1500 people.
