Alfreda, What if you piss me off? Still a good idea? Better idea: Glasses that show you why people act like they act so you can understand them and a pill for you that gives you the guts to discuss your problems with them.
Religion makes people do great deeds to help others too. Religion by itself isn't the problem. People that do evil deeds in the name of religion use it as an excuse, something to justify themselves. Most religions have passages that can be used to put down people. But they have a form of The Golden Rule as well. "Do unto others as you would have them unto you" in Christianity, or "The most righteous person is the one who consents for other people what he consents for himself, and who dislikes for them what he dislikes for himself" in Islam to name a few examples. People like to cherry-pick the passages that are convenient for them and sound like what they want and ignore the rest. Which can go both ways. It's the actions of someone that matter, not which God they believe in.
Free clinic from monks for common people all through the middle ages. Pastors setting up safe houses for gay teens being ostracized by other Christians to name but a few good results. Once again, I'm not saying people can't do evil in the name of religion. I'm saying religion is not the cause. It's an excuse they can us to do evil AND good. People have done good and evil in the name of science as well. Or to justify making money.

Disturbing that you want to solve a problem, like religion, by erasing it.
