...you know there's something about Pirates that just isn't re-watchable. I love pirate movies and the age of sail and all, Barbossa is amazing, Davy Jones is better, but I never went back more than once. I think it's the Disney touch of hiding a rather a rather mediocre story and poor casting behind a few big names that carry the weight of the whole thing on their shoulders. Big Budgets and big music do not make something automatically awesome, but it was billed as such and I think this was the first 'for the dumb summer masses' movies. That's Disney's magic (cancer)
