"The suburbs. Only ever saw them in movies. If you could see where I’m from (South East Asian slums) you would consider a typical American suburb a great luxury and privilege. My favorite pastime is looking up suburbs in the US and “walking” around in google maps. I dream of different lives I could be living in the houses and streets that I like.
Feels like a movie, sometimes a novel and then I realize they’re real places and somebody else’s reality. It is so surreal to me."
maybe you should stop watching liberal news, most of what keeps you out of America is not a real issue.
indeed, I forgot that all the news are in the hands of 3 families / companies.
Thanks for reminding me
Next to what I've seen on video/youtube the police in Russia, Australia, Germany, and Italy to name a few are more brutal. The air pollution in America ranks 84 out 106 (i.e., 22 rank better, 83 rank worse). Racism? The majority of the worlds countries government are 100% a single race, no outsiders allowed; unlike the U.S. and a some European countries. The fact that we are working to better ourselves unlike other places is what keeps me in America.
well, in Germany there are about 20 people killed by police every year
what you probaly mean are the crimes of the NS-time from 1933-1945
Please be aware, that there are literally TWO new constitutins since then.
google yourself - I don't think, you will believe me.
To stay in Germany: we have ca. 20% of people living here, that aren't born in Germany or their parents are not.
Approx the same rate is in the governement.
Nearly the same in other European countries.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
That is like saying the problem with the ocean is that there are too many fish.
i don't think you understand what that actually means unless you live it. my company offers paid maternity and paternity leave in the US. full health and matches retirement up to 8%. try again.
If your health care and maternity leave relies on your employer, your country doesn't have a fair system.
It's amazing to me how dedicated Americans are to justifying a system that screws them out of what they deserve, and are PROUD of it. Look at the downvotes on pointing out that Americans depend on their employers for things their TAXES should be covering. It's so interesting how ridiculous people can be.
