#18 I suspect that WWII bomber crash landed there. I doubt it was "abandoned" in the jungle.

Shark, well - it made a hard emergency landing at a small airfield after losing one engine to anti-aircraft fire. It could have been repaired but the runway was too short for it to take off, so they dismantled the usable parts.

imho - it didn't crash and was abandoned (although everything not by choice).
