"Don’t make jokes about the American revolution." WTF ??? Are there any jokes about that???

1) What dance was very popular in 1776?… Indepen-dance!
2) What did one American flag say to the other flag?….. Nothing. It just waved!
3) What was the Patriots’ favorite food in the Revolutionary War? … Chicken Catch-a-Tory!
4) Did you hear the joke about the Liberty Bell?… Yeah, it cracked me up!
5) “Where was the Declaration of Independence signed?”… “On the bottom!”
6) What did King George think of the American colonists?… He thought they were revolting!
7) What kind of tea did the American colonists thirst for?… Liberty!

Not in Italy and France ... of course, there will be places that this is true, but since this is a risk, it is your choice...

Would be good to know what countries most of those were meant for... some say so, but the rest are far from universal wisdom as well.

I'm told we Americans are rather friendly and polite and it surprises most tourists. Come on over and sit down, have a beer and a burger and talk. We're interested, we shake hands, we make eye contact, and we smile and we don't care if you make mistakes. We may not be perfect, but that's a bit more inviting than all this European snobbery.

#10 seems the wrong way around to me.
They drive on the left and overtake in the right lane, so it would make sense for standing or slow moving pedestrians to keep left.

"A lot of people come to London and they try to find fish and chips because it’s what they see in the movies and TV shows. Fish and chips are great but it’s not the only thing people eat there. England is actually really well known for their Indian food. Chicken Tikka Masala is even one of their national dishes."
