Multiplying any two digit number with eleven is the sum of the two digit inserted between the two digits 63×11=> (6+3) => 693" expect for 89x11= and an other lot of digit numbers.
I had the same thought. When both digits add up to only one digit this statement is true. But for example: 55 × 11 = 605 Last digit is 5 that's always the same rule. But 5 + 5 is 10. You use only the last digit of it and add the first digit to the digit in front. That's 5 + 1 = 6 So you'll get 605.
Laurence, This is the kind of "fact" publicized by people who only try a handful of examples. This sort of thing makes me wonder about other "amazing facts" I read on this sort of list. Did someone really investigate it and prove it, or did they just see one example that seemed to fit?
"Diamonds aren't valuable" Umm, that's obvious nonsense. Maybe you don't think they should be valuable. Maybe they wouldn't be valuable if it weren't for artificial constraints on supply. But they clearly ARE valuable. Just try to buy one.
From Wikipedia - "The citron is a large fragrant citrus fruit with a thick rind. It is one of the original citrus fruits from which all other citrus types developed through natural hybrid speciation or artificial hybridization."
Wow the bullsh#t which passes for facts on these pages is breathtaking. 100-watt bulb in the greenhouse thing: bullsh#t. ...Placebo effect: no one ever recovered from Stage 4 cancer via placebo; no one ever recovered from schizophrenia - or any other serious illness - via placebo. ...Pineapple: that stinging feeling is an allergy, which is your body's way of telling you to stop eating it. ...Cut grass smell: one more time for the airy fairies: plants do not have brains, therefore they do nothing 'on purpose'. Also, how many predators are roaming the streets of suburbia hunting for lawnmower-toting prey? Here's a fact: grass-cutting emerged long after humans were out on the savannah being potential prey.
"Juno, who was sent to Jupiter by NASA, was Jupiter's wife in Roman mythology. Jupiter's moons are named after Jupiter's mistresses. So NASA sent Jupiter's wife to 'spy' on him and his mistresses. Always thought this was pretty cool"

Use your imagination, but I ask you this- why do you think Santa's always so jolly?
