ya im with you man. when i was a teen may be but at 50 if i have to get physical that means it got to a point that this person is a true threat and now any thing goes. but i do every things i can to avoid that situation.

If you have no way out of a fight then you must do anything/everything to incapacitate your opponent and get the hell out of there. 1st rule of fighting with a total stranger: try to avoid them at all cost. You have no idea of their skill set or weapons and they could leave you maimed, brain damaged or worse for life and for what?
