Hermione, They might have been a scrimmage between members of the same team; might have been playing just for the fun of it. I say this in part because they also didn't call the kid for stepping out of bounds. It doesn't look like a game with a whole lot at stake.

lotta "might have" in your assessment. Also you ignore that this "scrimmage between members of the same team, just for the fun of it" had full uniforms and a ref in his ref uniform. YEah... sure, that happens all the time when one team is just messing around on the court.
