wonder how those investments are going lol nobody pays rent anymore. and he had 600k in mortgage, cars and student loans? they were already making poor decisions.

Yeah, sounds like he's real bad with money, what with making payments on debt and all. Paying off his mortgage sounds like a real boneheaded choice too. Putting the bulk of the money into conservative investments sounds like a poor decision as well. Average home prices in my area are near $1M, so having a mortgage that doesn't require PMI payments also sounds like a poor decision. You're right, that guy that works in finance sounds like he's real bad with money.

in NH you can except lottery winnings "anonymously" and the state has no income tax so all you'd pay is federal and the lump sum penalty
