#17 Recognize that from decades ago. The other part is a tube with a rubber band loop visible inside at the bottom. You challenge your mark to hook the band in the tube with this, but it is impossible. You demonstrate first but cause the hook to snap back by pinching the tapered top so it looks like band pulled it.

It's a toy missile. I had a million of these in the 80s when I was all about Transformers. The color also makes me think it's part of a toy. You would insert it into a launcher, a spring would get stretched out as you as you loaded the missile, and once it's fully inserted that hook on the end would catch onto something securing it in place. You would press a button somewhere on the toy releasing the catch, and the tension in the spring would send it flying.

Most of the answers here are totaly made up. Does not make sense at all. "Old laser alarm thingy"? There is no such thing! I usaually love these posts, but this was just utter rubbish!
