Yes yes, we are paying by it from taxes, same as with healthcare and everything else. You are also paying for schools from your taxes probably even more than we do just get less for your moneys, getting a bad deal and being salty when someone points it out.
Feeding children of all parental income brackets the same, healthy, balanced food may just end up being Cheaper for the country as a whole. Not to mention that in a decade or so those children will grow up to be healthy adults that developed their mental faculties further Because they were not starved for nutrients as children.
Adults that will go on to get good paying, stable jobs and carry with them a notion of how a meal Should look like from their formative years making it an investment that will pay off tenfold.
