Unbeknownst to some, the Earth is an orb, and is 4.5 billion years old. Also, (according to Stephen Hawking and many others) physics and what little we understand about quantum mechanics already provide that the Universe's existence does not require a creator, and, ipso facto, that the concept of a god is nothing more than a man-made construct. Just because we don't understand something yet, doesn't mean "god did it." That is literally the weakest, most childish answer to any problem in the history of ever.

Charlie,

Because god isn't supposed to explain anything. It's supposed to keep you weak and scared.

Charlie,

I think you should talk to other scientists somewhat more. There are many scientists who do not believe in God, but they do believe in a creator of some sort. This just because the big bang theory and subsequent evolution fall short in a lot of areas, and have to blindly defy some scientific laws to be able to work. Evolution raises a lot of questions which go deliberately unanswered. No matter how hard scientists have tried, abiogenesis has never been seen happening, not even under ideal lab conditions. Do not take it from me, look it up for yourself.

Deld, they may be scientists but can they explain their belief scientifically? Belief is defined as a conviction that is held exempt from reason. In science nothing is exempt.

Delf,

just because we cannot explain everything does not mean that there's a creator. We are just too stupid to understand. And stupidity is attracted by simple theories like a god, flat earth etc.

Sene,

All this blather and then we listen to atheists wish each other "good luck," talk
about karma, destiny, fate, and love. All are based on the belief in something that can't be explained, seen, touched, or proven. And while I doubt the existence of God, I don't have the urge like you do to ridicule and attack those that do believe.

Victoria,

Well said, Vicky. I don't know why anyone even humors these little 'edge lords' neckbeards who flock to every article they can to denounce religion in all it's forms online. Talk about a broken record. Isn't there something to be seen in how they constantly need to do so? Always hunting for self-validation by being sanctimonious over others. It's their new religion lol.

#5 eating food makes you grow, and need more food, its a black hole we should avoid! What an idiotic, asinine, logic-free argument.

Vinny,
good answer. #5 is one of the most moronic arguments I've had the displeasure of hearing.

Vinny,
It's only logic-free for uneducated, ill-informed dimwits like you and those who upvoted your comment. The point is that adding highways never gets rid of traffic, it only encourages more. Just like loosening your belt doesn't make you lose weight, it just encourages you to eat more. We need to reduce the number of cars on the road (or caloric intake) to make a real difference, otherwise it's just a never-ending cycle. Try to learn new things, instead of just using google to look up big words to use in your internet arguments.

Charlie, the continual discovery of the complexity of DNA has actually made real science question many earlier assumptions about the world we live in.
Science is never settled because despite our arrogance, we can only scratch the surface... dirol

All of these came across as kinda self absorbed and passive aggressive. They didn't pass on any science that a google search couldn't manage. They just seem sanctimonious about it all, like they need to show off their degree. smh
"Look at this! This framed piece of paper makes me a SCIENTIST!"

Our sun is so big one million earths can fit inside it,there are suns out there so big one million of our suns could fit inside them. We could be sitting in some college lab with the professor saying we're so much larger than them they don't even relize our existence. That definite would be gods compared to us!

All lemons are GMO man invented those!
