Jackie,
First of all, maybe learn to combine the right number with the right picture. Even a child can do that.
Secondly, it's the smegging thought that counts here you cantankerous idiot.
The fact that they dropped everything to help someone who's world had been shattered.
I absolutely do not believe in a god.
But I'm absolutely sure these people did and do a lot more good than someone that reacts like you.

Jackie,
I hope you get to meet one of the nice people described in this post. You seem to be in need of something good in your life.

Jackie,
That isn't the point of prayer. Those strangers stopped everything and shared the moment with her and felt her pain. There's comfort in love and kindness.

Christopher Hitchens, a well known atheist author, journalist etc. was once asked by a devout christian if he would tell someone who was grieving over the loss of a loved one that there was no god or heaven etc. I can't find the exact quote, but he basically said... "I would no sooner do that than I would kick a crutch out from under a person with a broken leg." It's possible to disagree without being cruel.
